Christine Martin, 54, is a practitioner of "Voluntary Simplicity," which means that she makes her lifestyle as eco-friendly as possible. Martin particularly focuses on re-using as much as she can, including only furnishing her home with items from thrift stores as well buying locally. There were 552 immigrants representing 82 countries participating in the mass swearing-in to become US citizens. Irina Bondarenko of Moscow, Russia, has been living in the Untied States for 12 years.
