Prom out-takes

These are some shots that I liked from a prom I recently photographed in Berkeley. Proms are always a lot of work, and this one was no different. I thought that others might like to take a look at these kids gettin' down low.

La Grange Rodeo

I had fun shooting the La Grange Rodeo, but I only wish that I had had more time to shoot it. This is the first time that I shot a rodeo before, and it is almost impossible to shoot it in the hour and a half that I had there. Maybe next year...

Kid in the window

Sabrina Laver, 2, presses her face against the window of a restaurant after eating lunch in the Marina District of San Francisco, Calif. on Febuary 21, 2008.

I was eating lunch with my friend Allen when this little girl smashes her face against the window. It was cute and I couldn't pass up taking this photo. I really like the light.

Photo II: Golden Gate Park Assignment

As some of you already know, I am currently getting my BA in Journalism as SFSU. I am taking Photo II from Ken Kobre, and my first assignment for the class was to take candid of children in Golden Gate Park. This has always be a challenge for me because when I shoot kids in parks I stand out. It is very easy to pot a 6'6" guy lurking around kids. I am sure that at any moment someone is going to call the cops. Plus, often small children are scared of me. This shoot went well, however, and I was only asked if I was a pedophile. I politely said. "nope."

These are the images I submitted for my first assignment for class.
