This is Raymundo Orozco, 11. He attends Esperanza elementary school in one of East Oakland's roughest neighborhoods. Although he's been in several fights at school, he is participating in a Safe Ambassador's program so that he can help make his school a safer place.
This is Erin Neel. She runs "Oakland Unwrapped," an online marketplace for local artists and businesses. I photographed her in her beautiful studio apartment in downtown Oakland.

Do you have any other photos from the Safe School Ambassadors training?
I am a staff at that school who participated in the training and would love to be able to distribute the photos or create a montage of them as a way of affirming the students who participated.
They also would probably get a kick out of finding themselves online.
